New Amazing “Green Lantern” Trailer!!

You’ll have to excuse me because I may now be dying. I’m physically out of breath after this awesome new Green Lantern trailer. They said they would deliver after the admittedly lackluster first trailer…they definitely delivered with the wonder-con footage from last month, and now they’ve finally revealed the official new theatrical trailer. It’s a fucking beast, and there’s a LOT of new footage, including some interesting little spoilers for the people who are well-versed in Green Lantern lore. We finally get to hear what Michael Clarke Duncan (of Green Mile fame) sounds as giant green lantern Kilowog, and suffice to say he sounds perfect. We also get a few more lines from Mark Strong’s Sinestro and Peter Saarsgard’s Hector.

It looks like DC are finally set to enter the standard set by such Marvel movies as Iron Man and Spider-man 2. Admittedly though, if you look over Marvel’s most recent films: Iron Man 2 & X-Men Origins: Wolverine – well, they’ve been pretty shit. I’ll admit that both Captain America and X-Men: First Class look awesome, but so far their Thor movie just looks like yet another extended trailer for Joss Whedon’s The Avengers. Here’s hoping I can be proven wrong, but thus far, Green Lantern genuinely does look like the comic book movie to take center stage this year. Anywho, check out the fucking epic new trailer:-

Green Lantern is released on 17th June in both 2D and 3D cinemas. Directed by Martin Campbell, it stars Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, Mark Strong as Sinestro, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond, Temuera Morrison as Abin Sur, Geoffrey Rush as Tomar Re, Michael Clarke Duncan as Kilowog, and Tim Robbins as Senator Hammond.
